TWENTY-SEVEN – Porteau Picnic

We are off to visit your grandparents in a few days, so we decided to make the most of our time in Squamish while the weather is good (sort of). You love the sun, and are FAR less cranky when we get outside. You actually eat more too, so what better opportunity for a picnic!

We made a spur of the moment decision to grab our leftovers and make the quick (~7 min) drive down to Porteau Cove. Your Dad and I used to scuba dive here frequently, but today we stayed above water :)

Even if we only stayed for an hour (we don’t dare miss bedtime…I pay for it in spades later), it was nice to get out and smell the ocean, while the Barn Swallows swooped above our heads. Although your favourite part of the evening was watching the parks attendant using the weed-wacker…figures.

Another reason we love to live hear – the ocean is our playground, right in our backyard!
